Edgebrook Community Church is celebrating 100 years! ECC has been a pillar contributing to the Edgebrook neighborhood with children's programming, faith-based programming, and supports the Edge of the Wood Theatre, now in its 19th year. The theater has evolved into a vibrant theatre school featuring three terms of courses for ages 6-18, three full-length musical productions each year, as well as several short showcases for younger students. Edge of the Wood is proud to have served thousands of students, many of whom have gone onto careers in the performing arts and arts education. ECC is celebrating a landmark 100th anniversary beginning on Saturday, October 5 at 5pm with a Cocktail Party, a musical performance at 6pm featuring their music director, students and actors from Edge of the Wood Theatre, and the Northside Music Academy. At 7:00 p.m., dinner will be catered by Inspiration Kitchens, a non-profit organization which trains underprivileged individuals in food service. Adults: $50 | Children ages 5-10: $25 | Children under 5: free Ticket price includes wine, cocktails, appetizers, a buffet with salmon, brisket, chicken, turkey, Italian sausage, grilled balsamic vegetables, sides, dessert, and other beverages. On Sunday, October 6, a Centennial Worship Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. They will have a special Centennial worship service featuring their congregation’s musicians along with guest trumpet players.
